SIGNUM

Although there are 2 zip files you really only need one. One of my disks had the font editor and the other had lots of extra fonts... so I've just sent both. A few files may be duplicated. The printer programme is called SPRINT and is set up for a 9pin dot matrix.

You MUST run "INSTAL.PRG" BEFORE you run Signum. Signum uses special routines that if not implemented will produce about 24 bombs if you try running Signum without "instal"

Once you have Signum loaded set up the page defaults... the drives/folders where the programme will search for fonts etc. My system was Drive A - the programme & Drive B - the fonts.

Normally the programme automatically saves your document as "test.sdo" but if you ABORT it will close without saving.

To put graphics in you must (auto)load the .ACC called "SCROP.ACC" - then load your favourite graphics programme to display your picture. Now use SCROP to do a screen grab. First you must give your picture a name then you'll see 2 boxes - the one that says "INSTALL" is the one that actually grabs the screen. Signum can only use graphics that have been captured by SCROP - it will not recognise any other formats.

Once you are in Signum find the drop down menu with "IMAGES" - click it and then select your picture and choose "LOAD HARDCOPY". Once you have the picture displayed you can move the dotted lines (with the mouse) and once you are happy with it click the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON and the clip will be inserted in your document. The horizontal dotted line indicates where the picture will be placed - think of it as a line of text... if you want the picture to display in the middle or top or bottom of the line.

IMPORTANT Key combinations:

<CONTROL> and LEFT MOUSE BUTTON - moves picture around the screen
<SHIFT> and LEFT MOUSE BUTTON - moves text around the screen

This is only a quick help file - if you strike major problems then get back to me

Cheers

Mike
