After having spend a whole 2 days :-) with the jaguar, I thought I'd offer
a follow-up.

This is basically to focus on the included soft, Cybermorph.

GRAPHICS

They now seem better than before. I think this is because I have accepted
the fact that they are well-suited to the environment which is intended.
But, I would have liked them to have looked more realistic. I am willing to
forgive this, since it is a 1st generation soft. :-)

Some of the worlds look very nice, with the excellently shaded mountains.
(The "red" world in particular). Also, the "finishing screens" after you
complete a world look neat. (But I think it is the same screen shown.)

Other things look pretty neat, like how the ships morph into "Cybermorph"
in the beginning screen. The power-up is also neat.

SOUND

Sounds are still pretty combat-like which really shocked me at first. Now,
I am just used to them. Better sounds were needed. ah well! Skylar is
the exception. I've never heard such a clear voice in a video game before.
The music that you hear when you turn on the cart is nice; also, some of the
other incidental music is quite good. I wish there were better sound FX
though!

GAMEPLAY

Surprisingly, this is the best quality in this cart. I've found it to be
an engrossing game. It's impossible to just pick it up and play ten minutes
like any other game you've experienced. Rather, you need to devote an hour
or more :-) to exploring and blasting and picking up pods. It seems rather
addictive. And, for me, the average gamer, it is very challenging. I
don't think I'll ever "win" it, that's how great it is in the challenge
department!!

SUMMARY

While the included game is graphically and audibly underwhelming at first,
the gameplay is the saving grace of this soft. Ultimately, this is the
most important component; but it is unfortunate the other important things
couldn't have been improved. Still, a quality effort.
