 Dis article surely won't interest
everybody but as it isn't very long
I suggests U to read it if you aren't
a coder, a graphician, nor musician
neither swapper, or even if U are
one of those guys .

 Simply because ASCII-graphics are
more and more used in logos creation
and it can allow people to be on the
ST or AMIGA-scene fastly.

First, we can distinguish two terms :

]- ASCII :
           The easiest way because you
           use only the keys situated
on the top of the box in
          front of you.(/ : \ ; . etc)

]- ANSI :
           Used on AMIGA and PC
           platforms .
( Go on BBS servers and
             U'll see ! )
           It's the same method as
           ASCII, but you can use
           COLOR and other TXT-FX
           with special codes .
( On your ST, you can
             see it with the
             VT-52 emulator, but
             it's not well used! )

There isn't any special program for
doing ASCII-graphics on our good old
ATARI machines at my knowledge except
mine, made for me by STRAPPER so simply
take the GENST editor or any word
processor which allows you to save in
pure ASCII and try by yourselves ...
The first attempts wouldn't be so easy
but after a little bit of time,
attempts and imagination, you should
do great thingies !

I will try in this edition of AMAZINE
in in the other ones to show you what
you can do with ASCII-graphics, even
if it seems to be too simple for doing
decent graphics for you !

Try to do the model behind, and find
the good keys for improving it with
a little 3D-effect or any other FX .

In the next edition of A-MAZE-IN,
(aw,aw,aw (fully!) )
I'll give you some tricks for a
background, a border, etc ...

] SEE YA SOON !
