Installation Instructions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Secret of Monkey Island is too big to be stored in a PaCifiST
image so in order to play this great game you have to set it up on
a hard drive partition.
To do this, load the file PACIFIST.INI into an ascii text editor
such as edit or notepad and type find the line that begins with
either MOUNT or ;MOUNT and add the following line.
        MOUNT=<DIR>
where DIR is the directory on your PC's hard drive where you have unzipped
the contents of the MONKD?.ZIP files, for example D:\ATARI\GAMES\MONKEY.
Load PaCifiST and if you typed in the line correctly it should say something
along the lines of
        C: = D:\ATARI\GAMES\MONKEY
If, when you get to the desktop, the drive icon assigned to Monkey Island
if not present, then:
        1. Click in "Floppy Drive A" icon.
        2. Move the mouse up to the "Options" menu.
        3. Click the button over the option "Install Disk Drive".
        4. Type in the letter of the "Monkey Island" drive.
        5. Click on "Ok".
Open the appropriate drive, locate the file MONKEY.PRG and double-click on
it to load it.
Copy protection
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the copy-protection appears enter the appropriate year from the dial.
To produce the dial, simply load the two BMP files from the ZIP MONKCODE.ZIP
file and print them out from Windows 95 Paint. DO NOT print these out from
any program which re-sizes the print out (such as Paint Shop Pro) and make
sure you use and ink-jet or laser printer because a dot-matrix printer will
resize it anyway.

Oh, and one final word: Monkey Island may crash with the message "Heap Full"
if you configure PaCifiST to emulate a 520st because of insufficiant memoey.
Make sure the line RAMSIZE in the PACIFIST.INI file is set to at least 1.

Have fun!
