ClickFLC - run it and weep..

You may remember the classic Douglas Little range of small
utilities and handy picture displayers for the Falcon.. he did GIF
and TGA displayers, and even a MODfile player as well..

Now we have a very compact and nice little FLI animation player,
which only takes up a very few Kilobytes, it can play FLI and FLC
animations straight off the hard disk, the first such player on
the Falcon, as far as I know, not restricted by an upper limit of
the available machine RAM.. This means that very long FLI
animations can now be spooled off a hard disk on to your monitor..

Using Ghostlink, also featured in this Maggie, you can now grab
some very hefty FLI or FLC files off a friends PC, and play them
fully on your Falcon..

ClickFLC is a TTP application, you can run by typing in a name on
the command line (uughh!) or much better still, using one of the
workaday miracles of TOS 4.xx, where you can 'drag' the file icon
of the FLI animation concerned, and 'drop' it on to the 'ClickFLC'
TTP program, and it just does the rest for you.. 'Space' to exit
viewing an animation..

I don't know how well this works on non-RGB monitors, but it stays
within standard ST-style screen borders, so I don't see too many
problems.. It will run 256 colour animations from any ST or Falcon
resolution..

Happy viewing!!
