Chagall Reference Scale block 12.5.93
=================================================

Scaling a block permits one to reduce or
enlarge a block, or even the whole picture,
   by almost any desired amount.

As a rule you will use this dialog to choose
the scaling factor for the block in percent,
where Chagall permits values between 1 and
3200%. You can modify the factor for the X-
and Y-axis with the corresponding arrows
   either individually or in common.

Alternatively to this you can also naturally
input the percentage values directly via the
   keyboard.

If you want to make the block a given absolute
size, then you can also input the new picture
size directly in pixels or millimetres in this
   dialog.

Below the new picture size Chagall will show
the memory requirements for the scaled block,
so that you can estimate directly whether the
available memory suffices to hold the result
of this operation. As for most block functions,
you can finally also set the Effective rangeFUNCTION of
   this function.
