Chagall Reference Graduated fill 12.5.93
=================================================

This function allows one to define a graduated
fill with free choice of starting-, centre- and
end-colours as well as any desired orientation
   of the graduation.

In 'Color grad-fill' you can set the colour of
the starting-, centre- and end-points of the
graduation; the centre-point is only relevant
for triangular graduated fills. To do this you
simply click in the relevant colour patch which
allows colour selection..\TOOL\COLORBOX in the usual way.

Alternatively you can click directly on the values
in the 'Color grad-fill' box, clear the small box
with <Esc> and type in a new value, followed by <Return>.

Under 'Geometry' you can select whether you
want a linear, triangular or radial gradient fill.

A linear grad-fill will orient itself with a
line which you can draw directly in the picture
   after clicking on 'Activate'.

A triangular grad-fill runs between three points
forming a triangle. After clicking on 'Activate'
you first set the start-point by clicking with
the mouse and then draw a line to the second
point (centre), set by a click. In the last
step you draw out a triangle from this line,
whose end-point you finally set with a third
   mouse click.

If you select the 'Limited' option than the
resulting grad-fill is spacially limited. A
linear grad-fill will then appear in the form
of a rectangle, where the drawn line represents
the diagonal of this rectangle. A triangular
grad-fill remains inside the defined triangle,
   as may be expected.

With 'Coverage' you can decide whether the grad-fill
is to be laid trasnparently over the picture or not.

The grad-fill will respect the Mask..\..\TOOLBOX\MASK if that option
is switched on under 'Effective range', and can also
be restricted to a frame or moved to a new window.
