1.0 pre1
========

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This has not been tested much on any other platform except Debian/Potato,
because, well, it took 28 hours or so to write this plugin and it's
the Black Horse... =)

This has been tested with:

 - XMMS 0.9.5.1
 - libsidplay 1.36

and the binary is linked accordingly.

Known issues in this release:

 - Yes, it says it's 1.0, or, stable plugin. It's FAR from stable, but
   hey, it works... =)
 - Configuration dialog may be fun to play with.
 - Example binary was built with debugging info off. Set it back on in
the appropriate header (sid_plugin.hpp) if you need it.
 - Horrible mixture of C++ and C. I was going to implement it
initially in C, but then I noticed the libsidplay author had made a
   wrong language choice.
 - Coding Conventions Not Supported.
 - Nor is configuration, except if you try your luck with the config
   file. (as I said above).
 - Nor is selecting individual sidtunes. This will be later
   implemented with the rewind thingy.
 - Ignore stuff about copying to form if you see the debug messages.
I guess I remembered the GTK+ widget model incorrectly. Speak of
   Microsoft's rotting influence. =)
 - See INSTALL for instructions. I mean it.

Have fun. Please don't crash.

1.0 pre2

Woohoo! Shared place with another plugin, and I wasn't even in the
bottom in the compo... And my friend got only a few more votes for his
plugin than I did - I was surprised, he certainly deserved to win, but
infortunately neither of us got to the prizes...

Okay, so, here's one slight comment:

A young male hacker is looking for
		   young, virile and energic coders
		     to maintain XMMS SID plugin.

		      Contact: <wwwwolf@iki.fi>

Pen name: "Let's spill the Code
                                                    all around the place"

NOTE: This really *is* about maintaining a
			   XMMS SID plugin!

I don't have much time to screw around with this code. I'm sorry; I
have a tendency to write programs that help me to scratch that which
itches, and after I'm done, I have not much interest in improving my
code. I usually write programs to help me to solve one particular
problem - and if I find a better way to do it, my old program might
become unmaintained.

As of writing, I use command-line sidplay and TinySID to play my
sidtunes (hoping libsidplay will someday take advantage of my HardSID
card, as TinySID has problems... =)

So, this is probably the last release I'll hand out; If there is
someone out there who has more time than I do, I can only suggest you
to take over.

No, the SIDPlay maintainer said he doesn't have any clue about GTK
(well, technically, neither have I...) and I have no clue about
Sidplay or XMMS, but hey, I'm just coding this. =)

So, both SIDPlay and XMMS folks have approached me and asked if I had
done anything to this since the initial release. Yes, I have, and what
you're now holding is the ultimate result of this unholy crappance.

One GIMP hacker complained about the last tarball, since it didn't
untar itself into a directory of its own >=) I hope this is cooler.
Also included are the Automake's files that it normally just symlinks
(some people lacked those).

Tested with:
 - glibc 2.1.2
 - GTK+ 1.2.7, glib 1.2.7
 - libsidplay 1.36.35
 - XMMS 1.0.1

See BUGS for known issues, and ***IMPORTANT THINGS*** in INSTALL file
about building.
